Course Description: HIPAA Compliance Training Series: The Foundation Course provides a solid foundation of information for health care professionals who need to comply with HIPAA. this introductory-level course gives students the basic information they need to know about the policies and regulations mandated by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act. The course first provides a brief overview of HIPAA. This is followed by an in-depth look at look at the Administrative Simplification regulations, including EDI transaction standards, identifiers, code sets, the Privacy Rule and the Security Rule. An agent is used to make the course more engaging.
